MASSAGE OILS AND FIRE SAFETY

©2001-2008 Andrew Thompson

Fabric which has been in contact with massage oils, such as uniforms, sheets and towels, can self-combust (catch on fire without a flame) at surprisingly low temperatures.

Leaving sheets in a hot car or using a clothes dryer is asking for disaster. When drying, hang on a hook or clothesline where air can circulate freely through the fabric.

When storing, keep sheets and towels in a cool place, as close as possible to the floor, and away from all sources of heat and light.
